Hello,
I have a mostly shade garden here and my preference is toward the species
iris. There are varying degrees of shade to play in, but the following iris that I
grow here are mostly located on the western edge of my woodland garden. plenty of
light, but protected from full sun.
For some years now I have had success growing
I. cristata and numerous cultivars
I. lacustris
I verna
I. tectorum
I. danfordiae
I. gracillipes
I. reticulata
I versicolor
I. setosa nana
I. graminea
There are others, but that is all I can think of just now. There is no shortage of
iris to grow under most any environment.
