     Iris versicolor didn't like Florida, but is native up your way.  Iris 
psuedacorus grows very well up north, but needs babying in Florida.  In your 
area, it probably would be invasive.  Iris virginica should also do well for 
you, and as with I. versicolor, invasiveness would not hurt since it is a 
native plant.  One other Iris you may could consider would be GERALD DARBY.  
It was wonderful in KY, but will not grow in Florida.
