Dan, in St. Paul you are done getting any more increase this season. And you are too late in the season to safely dig and divide any iris. They would not have time to put down a decent root system before winter. Besides, even if those two were not true, digging and dividing again would mean that each rhizome would have to start over, as it were, so they might not bloom in 2003. As it is, you are just in line for some wonderful clumps of iris next season, and a few weeks after bloom is when you will need to dig and divide and start all over again! What a wonderful prospect for next year!
