TB: Fertalizing and Walmarts Perennials on Sale

Well after weighing everyones advice on fertalization, I made my 
best judgment and gave everything light aplication of 6-10-10 and 
watered in good. Lets keep our fingers crossed for me next spring.
Also I went to Walmart this morning to pick up some blank video 
tapes and found that they had all their perennials, such as 
Daylilies, Hostas and a few others for $5.00 a pot. I also found 
what they had left of the poor Iris for $1.25 a package of 2.
What are the chances that these poor things will grow if I picked a 
few more of them up and planted them in pots and put them in the 
basement? I picked thru what was left and found them to be pretty 
dried out. But you never know what a little tender loving care can 
do :-)
