ALADDIN'S WISH (Murawska, 1945) displays the typical luminata pattern very
nicely with the clean contrast between its blue-violet and pure white
colors, but it has not been a particularly vigorous grower for me, either.
I have gotten much better performance out of PRETTY PANSY (H. Sass, 1946),
which has the same colors, but a bit more extensive white areas. This year
on established clumps planted in the same bed AW had 2 stalks and PP had 7.
BTW, I think it is too early to get anxious about arrival of the fall AIS
Bulletin. Often it hasn't arrived until after the end of this month.
