Hi, Everybody,

These messages about rebloom on your irises have me envious. The only
good rebloomers that didn't get dug and reset a month ago are City
Lights and Poor Man. Poor Man usually blooms in January and freezes.
All my irises were starting to recover from a super hot summer and turn
green, but five days of 100+ temperatures have made them pallid again.

I've heard that Stairway to Heaven does well in the very cold countries.
It's one of the best here in the heat, a really marvelous plant. Also
from Lauers, April Jewel and Pink Champagne are doing very well.
Happenstance has made a big, healthy clump, so has Pond Lily. Last year
I lost 4/5 of my seedlings to rot. Most of the survivors seem to like
it here. I guess there is some advantage to long, intense heat; it
quickly eliminates the weaklings.
