We use cut up mini blinds.  By the way, we have moved to Ohio. our new  info 
is;

We lucked out and found an acre in town. I have the bearded iris all  planted 
in a "holding bed" just to get them in the ground for now. Have some  potted 
and all the Japanese,Louisiana, Siberians are potted.
We've got the pond in and now we're trying to get the greenhouse done  before 
winter. We're pouring  
cement this afternoon. Lots and lots of other stuff potted too. The real  
work begins next spring.
