Linda, let us know how this works for you. Sounds cheaper than the metal
tags/labels I'm currently using. I've learned to push these into the ground
much farther than before. They are really for my own use only, and I find they
are better when the name plate is just above the ground. Not as likely to
get into a lawn mower or other equipment.
What are you using to write on the tags/labels? I'm still using the fine
point paint marker made by the people that make Elmer's glue. Pencil/graphite
has also worked well on the metal tags, but isn't as serviceable on the
blinds. It is harder to read from an upright position, even on the metal.
Not sure how the wax based pencils have worked . . . I didn't document or
limit their use to a given area and can't identify the tags where I used them.
Did they start to look like paint and blend in? Or did they fade off and
look like the few I used magic marker on? Magic marker was only a temporary
fix, but then I forgot to go back and redo the tags. Good thing I make really
good/detailed garden charts? <vbg>
