Proscuitto is a form of cured Italian ham that is very salty but
flavourful. I find it inedible by itself, but chicken stuffed with it
is actually quite common in my cookbooks and we've made it for holiday
dinners several times. If mixed with copious amounts of fresh oregano
or thyme it is very good. We generally use a white Italian cheese, such
as Romano or Fontina with the proscuitto. (prah - shoot - o) is about
the way we say it here. It's one of these new-fangled ingredients like
sun-dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, etc.

Hmm... irises... still need to plant my Lauer's order and waiting
on Sutton's order hich has been confirmed... Lone Star Iris no clue,
though I have not checked to see if the cheque has cleared. Received my
LA's from Ghio.
Oh yeah! received an order from Louisiana Nursery (Durio) -- some
shurbs and trees -- and while they are expensive, the plants were of
good size and average quality, but had been packed with one of the best
packing techniques I've seen, and I've seen plenty. Gotta hand it to
them there, plus they followed up and shipment from Louisiana was next
day since we are next door ;-)
