I'm telling ya, I ordered from all the above except the "big two" and I
ordered from Ghio instead of Maryott. I am a sucker for the $7.75 - $4.75
specials (that really cost more because of "extra shipping").

For amazing excessive extras and huge rhizomes I have to declare
Lauer's Flowers FAR AND AWAY the winner. They are also a CA grower,
Walter. Superstition was great too, but my order was smaller from
there. I was a bit disappointed by the order from Ghio wrt extras
since I had spent quite a sum of money there (3x what I spent at
Lauer's), but I spent the money on sale priced iris and so perhaps
that is why.

How do you deal with getting the same bonus plants again? When you
don't have many iris, the likelihood of replication is low; but when
you do have many, the likelihood is high. Of course, it's hard to
prevent two different growers from gifting you, but THE SAME grower
has sent me THE SAME bonus for three years in a row! I do have sub
lists and extras "wish lists" which contain a spectrum of choices
from inexpensive to expensive, but this phenomenon still occurs.
Next year I will say "PLEASE DON'T SEND xxxx" because I simply have
too much! Yes, I know I could try to trade it or sell it, but...
The one time I don't mind the repeat is if the predecessor has given up
the ghost and I want to try again, which is nearly all the time :-)
