Well Cathy, on the subject of mulch, I do and I don't. I plant my irises on
mounds
and mulch in the low areas between them. I have very little rot, fewer weeds,
and cooler soil temp. in summer. I am very careful, however to keep it away
from the rhyzomes. Pat
