Somehow, I have never thought of Oz, the land of Beautiful Blyth bearded
irises, having problems with lethal spring freezes.
La Nina has not been a nice child at all. The Bermuda High has been
stuck with its center right over my house for the last 3 months keeping
things high and dry with no signs of it moving back to Bermuda where it
belongs and letting some Gulf of Mexico moisture back up here. So
strong it stalled out the all time record strongest hurricane.
For those of you who have gardened thru droughts before, the irises
didn't get their usual fall growth period - am I gonna have any bloom
next spring? (not counting the usual freezes)
