Tom, you hit the nail on the head. I am thoroughly
convinced that most bearded iris will survive and bloom in
zone 3 if they are planted before the end of July.
Most nurseries will send out in the order in which orders
are received and so you should get your order in early and
request, plead and/or demand that you have them in your
hands before the end of July.
