Pearl,
Welcome to Iris-talk. We have other Zone 3 Members who should be able
to help you some. TB Irises don't do well here [Florida] either, but
Louisianas and some species grow nicely.
I would recommend that you try some Siberian Irises, forms of Iris
versicolor, and forms of Iris setosa. They will grow great in your area.
