One other option might be to send starts of all the plants you want to
"keep" to trusted friends in warmer climes then take starts of the main
clumps (are you moving the entire clump?) and plant them close to the
foundation of your new house.
The ground is generally warm enough right next to a house to add another
zone so transplanting shouldn't be a problem.
As for the clumps.... I've needed to relocate some large ones after the
ground was frozen (digging with pick and shovel!). I dug a hole large
enough (the ground wasn't frozen 5" down) and dumped the clump into it. A
4" layer of mulch added after the clump was stomped into place helped keep
newly exposed roots from being too damaged.
All should have a good chance of making it through till Spring and you
still have the insurance of having starts of your favorites with friends
who can ship divisions when it warms up for you.
