How about using a row of LIRIOPE between the beds and the water-area. I gave
some to a friend years ago and that kept her iris bed sheltered from wash-out
- but they were on a hillock, maybe you daughter-s bed will be flat. -
Before the last emails, I would say to have the bed banked up with
garden-ties, but now I don't know, So far they haven't upset my irises. I
think you would need a lot of "goodies" and top soil and horse manure. I
know a cousin had them near the beach - but I don't know about pure sand.
