Greenhouses are usually intended for increasing humidity, which bearded
iris do not particularly like. I don't know your climate, but I'd rather
leave the pot outdoors. My main problem with pots (clay is the worst, wood
the best) is that they can get too hot in the sun and boil the poor little
iris. I'm not sure about the root systems of dwarf iris, but tall beardeds
are very cramped in one-gallon pots. Even for a dwarf, 3" sound s like a
pretty small pot.

I'm a novice flower grower, so I hope I won't offend you with my lack
of knowledge about growing irises.
I was wondering whether I could grow standard dwarf irises in a
greenhouse, since I don't own an outside plot of soil. If so, should
I plant just one rhizome per pot of dimensions 4" x 3" x 3"?
Thank you,
Christine
