Allow me to expand on this. In the event of a late freeze, much of the
damage is done as the bright sun strikes the frozen plant, by say 10-11 a.m.
A plant that gets no direct sun until noon has an opportunity to thaw out of
the direct sun. Only my observations. No scientific background.
