	With experience in growing irises, you eventually learn which hybridizers' irises
grow in your area, and you adjust and grow those irises.

	I just know whose stuff grows well here.  I have nothing against 
hybridizers living in areas that do not produce irises favorable to my 
climate or growing season.  I also know that some of the irises I 
have produced in TX and MS do not do well in colder climates.  I 
have seen them struggling at various conventions in colder climates.
A few of my TX introductions struggle in MS.

	VE and E are caution flags for this climate because of the 
likelihood of freeze or frost damage.

	L and VL are also caution flags.  It can get extremely hot here 
towards the end of the season, and blooms cook in a day.

	And, as stated in an earlier post, some of these blooming 
symbols are not indicative of the bloom season here.

     Nor, do I advocate that all TB bloom should be M to 
accommodate people who live in a climate like mine.  I would also
add that my TB bloom is scattered over a long period - even without 
growing many L's, no VE's, and few E's.

	We'll have to get used to trial and error and adjustment with our 
irises...just like most everything.
