I have never known its name. It was probably part of the same
collection that included Wabash, Blue Shimmer and Blue Rhythm, all of
which were growing here. It MAY have been ROSY WINGS. All I can say
is that is was one of those DOMINION heritage "red" irises of a sort,
bitone, not much substance and indifferent form, but a rampant
grower. I pitched most of it out. It struggles along under the
porch on the rental duplex. I'd have to take off some latticework to
get at the remaining plant if I wanted to try to grow it out in the
open. Frankly, I found it rather ugly and nothing I wanted to
encourage here. But it sure could grow! I wish it had been Ranger
or Garden Glory or some such I remember as being quite good irises
for their day.

There were same other "found" iris here, but none I can put names to
with any certitude. PRINCESS BEATRICE is a probable, and then the
diploid bitone blend the picture of which I posted in Iris-Photos
last year asking if anyone recognized it are the only other two I've
kept. The suggestions for the bitone included PERFECTION, which it
resemmbles somewhat but has too much yellow for that cv. No one
seemed to recognize it. It also is a "survivor."
