I recently received a form from the 2004 Convention folks reporting on
performance of the seedlings I sent. The form has columns for stalks,
increase, and health. The columns for stalks and increase were filled
out, but not the one for health.
I'm not sure what to make of the information, since I don't know how
most plants usually do at conventions. They all lived (even I know that
is good <g>), most did not produce stalks (not good? or do most take a
year to bloom?), most increased like mad, except for the one that is
most reliable here (well, drat! it has no other redeeming features).
So, how do most convention plants do? Do they usually bloom the first
year? What would be considered 'good' increase?
Why is the health column blank? Is that only filled out the year of the
convention?
I guess the number of stalks and number of increase could be entered by
anybody, but health probably has to be evaluated by garden judges.
