RE: REB:Reports (everbloomers ?)

>>> Not only is Immortality known to bloom in the spring, it is
one of the few that could be classified as an everbloomer. <<<

'Immortality' is not known by any stretch as an everbloomer here
in USDA Zone 3 and oftentimes it is a shy spring bloomer. It
does have a strong tendency to put up a Sept. stalk or two.
Like Laurie, I have to cut the stalk(s) and bring them inside
due to frost if I ever want to enjoy the flower.

So, I am not keen on rebloomers that can only exist in my
imagination and the rebloomers 'seem' to be the worst performing
of the bearded irises up here in the mountains. Even the spring
bloom is not good.

** But 'Enfant Prodigy' is almost a continuous bloomer here in
most years. Strangely, it didn't bloom at all for me this year
and we had a fantastic iris bloom season. With plants, nothing
is written in stone.
