First: Iris@hort.net does not allow attachments. Any messages posted to the list that have attachments will have those attachments automagically stripped off.

So basically there is very little need for a VIR subject tag.

Next: it is a policy of the list that our discussions are about irises and related iris subjects. Discussions about viruses are not welcome and posters of said messages will be gently admonished by me the first time. After that I can't guarantee gentleness... <grin>

There are plenty of other forums that one can access and get information about viruses.
