Re: HYB: REF: Latin Lover/Snow Peach

This is a real gnat's eye question that probably isn't even worth trying
to answer. But since I ran across it, while looking at pedigrees, here
it is:

I looked up SNOW PEACH, found that its pollen parent is given as
seedling 64-16. Looked up Shoop AND 64-16 in the online database, found
that 64-16 is LATIN LOVER. But that means SNOW PEACH was LATIN LOVER X
LATIN LOVER....

SNOW PEACH (G. Shoop, R. 1971). Sdlg. 66-20-2. TB, 36" (91 cm),
EM. S. white; F. peach-pink; tangerine-red beard. Latin Lover X 64-16:
(Wine and Roses x (Whole Cloth x pink amoena sdlg.)). Shoop 1971.

Oops......well, then I thought I'd better check LATIN LOVER just to be
sure, & while it's similar, it isn't quite the same:

LATIN LOVER (G. Shoop, R. `69). 64-16. TB, 36", M,, RV3PF. S
light lavender-pink; F grape wine with light lavender-pink rim;
tangerine beard; ruffled. (Inv. pink amoena sdlgs. x Whole Cloth) X Wine
and Roses HC `68. Shoop `69.

Is Shoop 64-16 actually LATIN LOVER, and maybe the pod parent for SNOW
PEACH got entered wrong? Or ??

Something's screwy - looks like SNOW PEACH was maybe a cross of reverse
crossed seedlings & the seedling number for LATIN LOVER is off..?
