Betty,
Do you take the pot in during the winter months? I have a root cellar that stays at about 35-40 degrees all winter and I'm wondering if I could successfully pot up my three Edith Wolford raisins and take them in every year to spend the coldest months in the root cellar. Has anybody else tried this with Edith?

My potted Edith probably benefits from this approach. The bottom level of
soil in the pot is compacted and sterile. I often forget to give her
fertilizer, when I do it's a quick shot of Miracle Grow. When she gets crowded I dig
and simply add potting soil to bring it back to the level I want.
