ROY DAVIDSON is from a bee pod on the variety HOLDEN CLOUGH whose own
background is a matter of dispute. Its pod parent was Iris pseudacorus; the pollen
parent was said to be I. chrysographes, but experts don't believe that it could
have been a parent. So we only know for sure that ROY DAVIDSON is one-fourth
I. pseudacorus. We have grown it and think it is a nice addition to the
garden. The only problem with it is that iris borers love to eat it.
