Epigenetic inheritance is a fascinating concept for all of us in the hybridizing crowd. I've been discussing this and other inheritance ideas with Karl King, who has an incredible website -- full of interesting articles about this kind of stuff. I'll bet you'll find this particular section of his site interesting too.

I've only just started to scratch the surface, in personally testing some of these ideas. But, I have a line of 'Yellow Pear' tomato that I think I've induced an epigenetic change in. Hopefully we'll all continue to learn more about epigenetic inheritance and be able to apply it to our iris hybridizing efforts. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
