Betty sent me a link to temperature records <http://www.weather.gov/climate/>
I don't have time to go thru each day right now, but the average low for Knoxville was 66.5 for the month of Aug. "normal" (I guess this is 30 yr average) is 67.3. Lowest temp in Kville in Aug was 59, July was 55.
But I'm not sure this average is very useful for what you're trying to sort out, Chuck. The average low for July was 67.2, "normal" is 68.5.
