I use bleach solution (20 %) to dip iris rhizomes into (not more than a
couple minutes) that I am selling or donating to sales. Also, if an iris is
"having a problem" and I can't figure out why, I dig it up and do the bleach
thing...it very often works, far more often than not. Clarence Mahan in VA
