I apologize if this is a topic which you discussed before I joined the
Iris-l. If so, I'll go to the archives. I would greatly appreciate your
cumulative wisdom regarding control (or at least, discouragement)_ of moles.
We don't have pocket gophers here in Tennessee, but the moles run rampant.
Something else uses their feeding runs and eats bulbs and iris rhizomes--I
think it is voles, but I'm not certain. Something else leaves little holes
at the surface, and whatever it was, it ate my lily bulbs. I enjoyed the
postings on squirrels and crows, but the moles seem to cause me the most
trouble. We have dogs, so I don't want to use poison, and after spending
half a day unsuccessfully trying to set a mole trap, I gave up on that
method. I hate to kill all the earthworms. Any advice?
