We don't HAVE ice and snow here. Our average snowfall is something less
than an inch and ice is short-lived if EVER. In fact, this is supposed
to be a warmer winter than normal!!! Our coldest months, December and
January, the average low and high are 60 F and 40 F respectively. Our
average first freeze is still several weeks off and many years we NEVER
freeze.
It still may be a bad idea to topdress now, but not due to ice and cold.
Today, 25 September, the normal high/low is 88/67F!!!! This is
summertime to many of you. Our record low and high is 97/48 F for this
date.
