Linda, this is the first year I have had soft rot. It came during
the hot July days when there was no water. I had to empty the bed,
and have treated the soil with Tetracycline from the local farmers
supply house. Enought Tetracycline for 50 gallons of mixture cost
about $4.00 So far, I have not had any of the Southern Blight. Just
the sticky old soft rot in well established plants. Charlie zone 7
1/2 to 8.
