In a message dated 96-09-20 13:56:38 EDT, you write:
<< BUT, I don't spray, I brush it on. I use a
small disposable foam brush, because there is no splashing with them.
A little brush on one or two leaves of the weeds is usually the kiss
of death, and as long as I don't touch the iris, no problem. This is
especially useful for me because neighbors on two sides--naturally,
the north and west, the directions from which prevailing winds blow--
don't control their dandelions at all. So I find that Roundup
applied in this careful way lets me clean out the iris beds, the only
way I know to get rid of dandelions & similar weeds. >>
This sounds like something I should try. Especially in and around all my
roses where I can't spray. Thanks,
