If one is looking for an older Iris--Contact the HIPS (Historic Iris
Preservation Society)person who is in charge of the HIPS Iris Survey--lists
are maintained of who grows what--and even though SG is from '78--someone
might have it listed in their garden--Otherwise, one can write a letter to
HIPS 'Locator' column and it will be published--stating that you are
looking for a specific Iris--write to

Every year, growers of the 'Historics' complete a list of the ones which
are growing in their garden--and send it to HIPS Data Bank Sharon fox
