Dauntless may be a reddish purple, but Rameses is definitely a blend, and
is further distinguishable by the flush of purple on each spathe. Lloyd
Zurbrigg in Durham, where all kinds of help is being sent to the Eastern
part of the state!

Hi All:

 

It is extremely difficult to tell the true color of either of these iris from the pictures.  I have an iris that my mother and aunt called a purple flag.  As it turned out, it is actually Waltzing Widow (Roach, 1973)., but it definitely reminds me of the old purple flags.  Could it be a relative?
