As the author of the "Help" message I must apologize if it caused any
anxiety. Reg's suggestion seems worth consideration but it would be easy
for some malicious person to devise a subject that looked innocuous!
By coincidence I received, in the same post, an email from a friend
warning of the existence of a new computer virus. Unfortunately the
information about this virus is contained in an attached Word ".doc"
file, which I have no intention of opening, because it may well contain
a macro virus. The most alarming thing is that he has sent this message
to all his contacts! This is one of the most common ways of spreading a
virus.
Apart from eternal vigilance the only safety is in not permitting the
browser or other mail agent to open automatically any attached files and
to think twice before opening them oneself.
