Hi folks -
Yes, the attachment issue rears its head again. As the list-guy for
Medit-Plants, I would like to make all aware that this issue has been
discussed periodically in the past and the decision was reached already to
NOT post images to the group. Occasionally, well meaning members who are
unaware of the problem that this sort of sharing can cause blunder into and
find themselves in the middle of this controversy. Please, do not feel
badly - it has happened to many before you.
Yes, there are alternatives. If you can place them on a web page somewhere
and provide a link, this is perhaps the best. They can also be mailed
directly to those parties interested in receiving them (the most tedious,
certainly). If you have interesting picture that might ultimately be
placed upon the mediterranean climate gardening web pages (such as Gayle's
beautiful Limnanthes douglasii photos), then you can contact me directly
and even send the photos along for me to view. We can discuss what can be
done and if/where they can be placed on the web site.
BTW Gayle - would you be willing to write up a little bit of text to
accompany your photos on a web page?
Thanks to all who have reasonably voiced their opinion on this matter and
to everyone else who refrained from engaging in unpleasant argument.
