Several years ago I read descriptions of some hybrid abutilons that had a special quality as a result of having hairy or felty leaves. I can't remember whether this conferred insect resistance (anti- whitefly?) or winter-hardiness. I was interested in buying some, and checked with the owners of Cistus Design Nursery near Portland Oregon, which has a large collection of abutilons, but they didn't have any.
Now I am trying to find that original webpage and have not succeeded.Does any of this make sense to any of you? Does anyone know of a nursery with a large collection and a descriptive list online?
