Yes, the San Luis Obispo county is in the process of planting a botanical
garden. We have about three-fourths acre planted now and even though
there is a gate, it can be opened so that you can walk in and see what we
have started. It is about half way between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay
on Highway 1. The drive along Highway 1 is very scenic. Do try to visit
the garden and envision that within a few years the garden will cover the
hill behind the garden as it is now. Turn off Highway 1 at the sign for
Chorro Park and our new Dairy Hill Golf Course and go all the way down the
hill. Another great nursery in Grover Beach is Ron's Nursery. Turn off
the freeway at Grand Ave. and go to 13th street. Turn south on 13th and
it is a mile or so on it. It is a beautiful nursery.
