Good thing, too! The FINAL three letter extensions are for SYSTEM files.
ONLY the last three letters are used to ID the file type. Use of a second
innocuous extension preceding the final one is purely a disguise ploy. The
only DATA files that carry worms are MS Office files (*.doc and *.xls), in
the form of internal macros. You have no way to use any single system file
unless it is part of a patch downloaded from some software manufacturer.

*.pif, *. bat, *.vbs, *.com, *.dll, *.exe, and others sent as attachments on
unsolicited e-mail are almost 100% certainly files with viruses or worms.
Make darn sure your e-mail setup does not automatically open extensions.

Charles, you have my permission to re-post this message.
