In Oakland Arctostaphylos manzanita is reblooming now. My recollection is
that it normally blooms once a year in November/December. Except for the
heat early in the summer, this seems a 'typical' summer with lots of morning
fog that burns off by afternoon. Although to be honest we seem to have had
few typical summers in the past few years.
