Hi Doris,

This depends on the individual group. Some permit posting of photos to the entire list, but many do not, since it can prove disastrous to those with limited access to the internet for some reasons - or because the particular kind of email client they use cannot handle anything other than text.
Folks -

Medit-Plants is not set up to restrict attachments, but it is strongly discouraged for the reasons Tony give in his response to Doris.

Pictures are great. I love pictures myself. The way to avoid causing problems for those members who would be unduly impacted by attachments is to provide a URL link to a photo (or other large file). In this way, members can choose if they'd like to download this file through their browser (instead of their e-mail program), but not be forced to do so even if they are not interested (as is the case with attachments).

If anyone has something they wish to share with the group, and they cannot find a place on the web in which to put it (there are various site to hold you photos for sharing), then let me know and perhaps I can find a place for it (I can receive attached photos without too much trouble).
