Re: Hesperaloe parviflora


Thanks to all for your advice - I had not been familiar with this yucca before.  Sounds like I may have gotten a great plant - we have plenty of heat here and very gritty decomposed granite soil (tends to be a little soggy in winter ) - so I am looking forward to putting in a new little section raised up a bit to help with winter drainage - will have to run back and get a few more of these for a grouping of them.  I have some very large boulders placed on top of the ground - I may add some soil around them and then plant the Hesperaloe surrounding them and then perhaps some grey chip rock for mulch.  thanks again.
