Nancy, We have a large clump of black bamboos in the Town garden. When
trying to restrict, we take the dug out sticks to use as poles in the
country garden.
Results: where we stuck them in to grow, they didn't and where we have
used them as poles - some did!
So, I am no help to you as far as time because I write of many times we
have done this with probably same length of time before using. I guess
you could say it is an example of that sense of humour your gardens
practice some times
