Financial Aid

Only because I have maintained a website and a garden group on my own over
the years, do I realize that these websites cost money. Sean is too shy to
ask for money so I risked offending him and you with my request for aid.
Whatever funds are donated would be used for the following purposes: There
is a bill forthcoming to him from PacHort for a domain name registration.
Slides that are used on the site need to be processed into computer images.
This process takes FOREVER, as those who have done it know. It is a
difficult chore and if we can send the stuff to professionals, the result
would provide better turn-around and quality.
Of course, our ISP provider,SUPPORT NET, deserves some sort of payment
someday. The owner has provided it pro-bono, though he'd like to adjust that
when we can get some capital going. Some ideas need money to raise money -
the Barnes & Noble arrangement would never raise that much dough.Quiet
advertising when we can mention worthwhile products or services on our site
in a non-ad manner in exchange for payment. Sponsorship is also an option.
WE ARE AWARE OF THE PITFALLS IN THESE ARRANGEMENTS but we should be able to
control things.
I need some ideas on how funds, however small, can be sent. If everyone on
the site donated several US dollars a year, that would probably go a long
way to pay the bills. I wish I knew some foundation that would bankroll us.
Any ideas? Thanks for the response! bill grant
