I've been enjoying trying a few unusual-in-the-UK spp of this genus
and wondered if other people on the list are growing more and if so
which ones they'd recommend for 'the interested amateur'? A. viridis
(from Maurice Broussard in France) is doing well here and A. fragrans
is flowering its tiny socks off at the moment: the flowers are just
quiet little greeny-white eyes ('quietly charming' if you're feeling
kind) but the fragrance is delicious - and astonishingly intense for
such a tiny plant.
Now, what else should I be growing??
