Re: Dracaena draco

Glenn, Joe, David, Michael: Many, many thanks for the helpful info.
Glenn's detailed account of do's and (more importantly) don'ts was
particularly helpful for my plans for next spring. I now have a little
printed-out file of the various replies - and no excuses...

Cordyline australis, BTW, does almost *too* well here and survived our
only seriously cold snap in the last decade or so quite untouched -
unlike the much more handsome C. indivisa, a handsome semi-mature
specimen of which was killed stone dead, though in the previous
several years our usual minor frosty whisperings hadn't worried it at
all. (If I'm honest, I'd probably grown complacent and hadn't
protected it thoroughly enough.)

Michael: I hope the trip goes well and you have a great time!

A suitable time, too, perhaps, to hope that every member of the
Medit-Plants community has a heart- (and of course garden-) warming
time over the next couple of weeks.
