If kept cool, rose
cuttings will last at least a day or two in just a damp paper towel in a plastic
bag. Like Carolyn says, roses are very easy to start but be sure you plant
it right side up.

I am so delighted to see this e-mail, as
I was going to pose the question this week about how to do just this! My
mother-in-law passed away in October, and my husband's cousin wanted to know if
he could have some cuttings from her roses in memory of her for his Arizona
home. Do you suppose if he had some cuttings with floral tubes on the
bottom for the plane ride they would still be viable when he got them
home?
Thanks in advance,
