Re: More about citrus


unfortunately here you rarely see blood oranges. Its odd, you can buy
them at craft stores dried, but no one thinks of using them for fruit!
I dont even see them really bought out at the local nursery. They have
many different types of Citrus, even at the local Orchard Supply
Hardware ( and nursery) They even have Calamondins or the Filipine
lime. I know lemons do well here. A local churchyard has several 8 foot
high spiny "bushes" that give twenty to thirty small lemons ( they get
knocked off the trees before they get larger than a hens egg). Were
kind of borderl;ine here as to the heat loving plants we can grow. Im
sure that the southern side of my house will provide enough heat for
them ( people grow tomatoes on the south sides of their buildings here)
