i just let it grow. It actually does nice things ( like covering up the
side yard i keep forgetting to get to and dont really know what to do
with) and it does have pretty flowers. I like their fragrance too. For
me i let it stay. But you can apply roundup to the axis where their
leaves join the root very carefully with a paint brush.
